An Amazing Success: 15th Year of Back to School Assistance Helps nearly 500 children
Jace was just 9, but the knot in his stomach tightened every time he thought about school starting.
He knew his parents were already stretched thin, and asking for new supplies felt like adding another burden. He just wanted to not add to their stress… to not need anything.
But then, neighbors came together through Operation Love.
Walking into the Back to School Readiness Event was like a breath of fresh air. There were so many friendly faces, and suddenly, that heavy feeling started to lift.
He picked out a brand new backpack, and it was filled with everything he needed – notebooks, pens, even a calculator!
It felt amazing to have all his own stuff, ready for the first day of school.
Thanks to incredible sponsors, donors, volunteers, and groups, and friends 500 Madison County kids like Jace got the boost they needed. Starting school with confidence makes all the difference, and kids like Jace are so grateful for everyone who made it happen!
